Work Location: Remote, with occasional day trips to Boston for face-to-face meetings.
Job Purpose: EPFR is looking to add a Accountant to its Boston, MA based team. This position will report to the Controller and will support the day-to-day operations of the company, assisting in expediting monthly close and reporting needs. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual that is hands on and has the ability to problem solve all while meeting deadlines.
Principle Responsibilities:

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts to support month end close process.
• Prepare and book journal entries, including payroll related entries.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts daily.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for external auditors/tax team on a timely basis to meet deadlines.
• Assist with sales tax returns and compliance utilizing Avalara Tax software.
• Helps on a variety of ad-hoc requests including investigation and resolution of variances.
• Review expense reimbursements for adherence to company policies.

Qualifications:
Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience.
• Strong excel skills.
• Self-starter, can work independently and identify, document, and resolve issues.
• Good understanding of US GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and perform within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired:

• NetSuite experience or similar
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in processes.

Travel Required: Minimal. This is a remote position, ability to travel locally to the Boston, MA office to accommodate in person meetings as needed.
