2Nd Shift - Production Supervisor

Arcosa Traffic Structuresis seeking aProduction Operations Supervisor. In this role, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff, you will supervise departments and work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity.

What you'll do:

• Establish functional business plans and technical objectives to meet short term and long-term goals of the organization
• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of non-exempt and hourly employees
• Set priorities for the team and ensure task completion
• Interpret and execute policies and procedures in accordance with Arcosa policies
• Monitor processes to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
• Coaching/Leadership in production
• Coordinate galvanizing loads to support deliveries
• Ensure On Time delivery to customers
• Communicate with Master Scheduler to ensure product will be available
• Promote safety, quality and delivery
• Support Continuous improvement
• Administer all policies consistently and fairly
• Ensure all Quality hold points are followed and all travelers are reviewed and signed off prior to submission to QA department
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

• 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience in heavy manufacturing environment
• Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have previous supervisory experience
• Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions and create a positive learning environment
• Ability to schedule shop flow and execute plant goals
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety, and production
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment
• Regular and predictable attendance

Working Conditions:

• Hourly full-time position
• Safety sensitive role
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
