Production/Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Objectives:

To perform and monitor tasks related to product manufacturing, process maintenance, and system validation. To maintain close communication with the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and, Director of Operations to assure process and product meet specifications, standards. To carry out data collection, trend analysis, investigation and improvements to processes, products and systems. Work with the Director of Operations to create production schedule, maintain inventory, and suggest improvements to manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct the Manufacture of all company products per approved procedures and protocols.

· Perform tasks assigned by the Director of Operations deemed necessary for safe & efficient operations.

· Work with Quality departments to create and/or modify methods and procedures to ensure that appropriate processes and/or products are developed, and that products, materials, and manufacturing equipment meet required standards.

· Assist with new product and process development and implementation as assigned.

· Work with Quality departments to trend investigations and respond to the recommended corrective actions for processes and products.

· Carry out the development and utilization of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance systems.

· Work and Perform tasks in a manner that will assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications to standards, such as GMP and ISO regulations.

· Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

· Suggest improvements to increase efficiency of processes and procedures

· Maintains staff by orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities

· Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting process variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

· Completes manufacturing plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting to the Director of Operations the results of the manufacturing plan.

· Ensures operation of equipment by monitoring performance; reporting any irregularities to the Director of Operations

· Revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping, forms, and personnel requirements.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment by training and directing manufacturing staff on the use of all equipment, cleaning, calibration, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

· Resolves personnel problems by analyzing the problem; investigating the issues; identifying solutions.

· Maintains manufacturing staff training documents as well as incidents/absence documents

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing goals

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Can work in a team environment and interact with other groups (e.g. Quality Control, Quality Assurance, etc.)

· Must be a self-starter

· Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

· Have excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.

· Support project work and the ability to perform project work independently.

· Solving issues in daily operations as they arise.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In performing the essential functions of this job, employees will work with manufacturing equipment and raw materials. Proper attire and adherence to safety protocols is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
