CNC Mechanic
2nd shift – 1.50$ hr shift differential
Medical/dental/vision start 1st of month after start date. 401k match $1 for $1 up to 5% starts day 60. PTO works on accrual basis. Start with 40 hrs up front. Can carry over 6 weeks. 5 years moves to 4 weeks.
800 total employees at the Minneapolis site, 200-300 hourly. Typically 2-5 mechanics on a shift, 2nd shift usually as 2-4.
Non union facility
MUST have 2 year degree in maintenance related field- electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, etc. 2+ years of experience.
They would consider someone with 7+ years of CNC maintenance experience with no degree, however they must start/enroll in associates degree program. Company will pay for degree/education.
They majority of CNC machines at the site are Mazak’s, they have some Haas’s and a few Swiss CNC machines.
CNC Mechanic
- Perform preventative maintenance and simple repairs of all company-owned machine tools, assembly equipment, and Graco owned manufacturing assets.
- Perform simple testing and repair in the area of hydraulics, mechanical elements, electrical, and electronics.
- Promptly respond to customer maintenance requests concerning equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine the course of action and consult with CNC Mechanic A for advice if necessary.
- Provide support to departmental personnel as workload dictates.
- Keep accurate maintenance records.
- Order parts/supplies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Meet operational requirements and expectations for accuracy of work, while minimizing waste by caring for product, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
- Follow all required safety guidelines and utilize the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Preferred
- Associates degree in maintenance/maintenance related field (electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, etc.) and meet experience requirements.
- 2+ years of machine maintenance experience
Requirements With No Degree
- Must meet experience requirements. If no degree must start associates degree in maintenance or a related field to be eligible for step increases and/or promotion to next pay grade.
- 7+ years of CNC maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts, which might cause injury to self, others, or the environment.
- Read and understand mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to take work direction and complete tasks in an organized and timely manner.
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
