Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Operate X-ray equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality images
- Review images for quality and clarity, and make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols
- Room patients and chart in medical records as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technician or similar role
- Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related software
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical coding and administrative support tasks
- Excellent patient care skills and ability to provide emotional support to patients
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Experience with medication administration, including inhalation techniques
