Optima Diagnostic Imaging is seeking an experienced and motivated X-Ray Technician (per diem) looking to be part of a dynamic team of health professionals. The outpatient facility is in the heart of Beverly Hills and provides a variety of healthcare services to the surrounding community and concierge patients. The candidate will be working closely with the physician as the X-Ray technician. Candidate must be proficient in computers and EMR. X- Ray Technician License is Required

Essential Functions

• Ensures that any required consent forms are signed prior to examination.
• Actively participates in the quality assurance monitoring and recording efforts of the department.
• Maintains communication with front desk to ensure patient flow.
• Compliance with all state and federal radiation safety requirements.
• Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician.
• Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time.
• Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
• Instructs patients for the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
• Receives, organizes, scans, faxes, and encounters documents into EMR.
• Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law.
• Must be able to closely follow physician instructions, prepare radiography equipment, position patients, and obtain optimal images for diagnosis.
• Assisting back office patient flow and needs including rooming patients.
• Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all distinct types of patients including the elderly, ailing, and handicapped.
• Provides preventive maintenance to equipment and monitors its operation.
• Documents patient communication and clinical treatments accurately and appropriately within the EMR.
• Charts patient medications and completes X-ray requests for billing.
• Discusses radiologic examination results with the departmental supervisor or professional personnel.

EXPERIENCE

• One to two years of experience as an X-Ray technician.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
