X-Ray Technician

Limited X-Ray Tech excellent opportunity to make some extra cash. Weekend coverage needed. Possibility for this to position to expand into full time.

X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Performs radiographic procedures as ordered by a physician
• Position patient correctly for x-ray procedures
• Operate x-ray machine according to established procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Develop, process, and select optimum x-ray images
• Review and evaluate x-rays to determine the quality and if they need to be redone
• Answer patient questions as they relate to the procedure
• Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
• Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current and exposure time.
• Assisting with back-office duties

Qualifications:

• Current CA state limited x-ray tech license in Chest, Torso-Skeletal, Extremities, Skull (preferred) and Digital Radiography
• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
• Operate within x-ray standards of care
• Medical Assistant experience required
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA policies
• Must be willing to work weekends and/or morning and evening shifts
