Job Overview
Under general medical supervision, and within regulatory scope of practice, assists in the provision of direct patient care by arranging patients for radiological examinations. Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. In addition, performs routine Medical Assisting procedures such as administering intramuscular, subcutaneous or intra-dermal injections and performing skin tests, venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens. As a q2Q2level II position also provides x-ray-related technical support and professional expertise to the units of purchasing and clinical operations.
Minimum Requirements
1. Graduation from an accredited radiology program required.
2. Limited Permit in X-ray Technology required.
3. Medical Assistant certificate required.
4. BLS certificate required.
5. A minimum of two years experience required. Three years experience preferred.
6. Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location preferred.
Pay Range: $26.13 - $32.55 hourly
