Position Overview
We’re looking for a stellar WordPress Site Administrator/Designer to represent our agency’s mission through digital fundraising touchpoints, including the JFS website, donation forms, email campaigns, and program survey forms. You will be part of the Marketing team that lifts resilient community members, drives fundraising goals, and communicates agency initiatives. Responsibilities:
Specific duties include
- Create and update pages on the JFS website and assist in managing other partner websites, usually built in WordPress
- Develop new templates for the website and add new functionality as needed. This consists of adding plugins, modifying theme files, and editing CSS and PHP code while focusing on website speed and performance
- Maintain expertise in SEO techniques and implement SEO best practices
- Recommend opportunities for site enhancement in content and user experience based on analytics, observed visitor behavior, and business objectives
- Manage and collaborate with external service agencies to develop, build, and launch large website initiatives
- Build and deliver creative email campaigns across the agency’s audiences, including eNewsletters, event promotion, solicitations, alerts, and other email types. This includes testing emails in various email clients, optimizing for different devices, limiting download size, and using HTML/CSS to fix layout issues
- Help execute the delivery of digital fundraising campaigns and projects, from planning, design (with the support of a graphic designer), implementation, QA, delivery, reporting, and ending with analysis
- Follow, implement, and test the latest digital fundraising trends
- Provides regular data analysis of email and fundraising performance, sharing results with the team and making recommendations for future optimization
- Oversee the technical operations of the mass email system, including ensuring adherence to SPAM laws, integrations with systems, and reporting infrastructure
- Organize constituents into different segments for promoting or excluding campaigns based on their interests
- Use Blackbaud Luminate Online to build and maintain event registration and survey forms, including related assets such as landing pages, confirmation pages, and autoresponders. Provide updates and reports to applicable departments
- Build and manage donation forms, including thank you emails and confirmation pages, for a variety of campaigns to support digital fundraising and other teams
Skills/Experience/Abilities that are a Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 3+ years' experience executing website strategy, development, and content
- Front-end web design experience, including responsive web design
- HTML/CSS and SEO experience for optimization of web pages and user funnel/flow
- Expertise in pulling analytics, creating dashboards, and distilling the performance data into clear and concise presentations
- Experience with Google Adwords a plus
- Back-end web development, JavaScript, and UI/UX experience a plus
- Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization, such as Blackbaud Luminate Online and WordPress
- Experience troubleshooting and quality assurance testing web pages, including forms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-directed, detail and solutions-oriented, with formidable project management skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
