Weekend/Evening Medical Phone Receptionist

Join our busy neuro-ophthalmology team! Looking for professional, experienced, dependable individual who will support the organization in terms of goals and desired image. Your professionalism and multi-task skills will have a positive impact at our fast-paced facility. In this role, you have day-to-day contact with patients and employees from our various departments. You are a vital part of the team to ensure the clinic and business office runs smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Answering phones and directing calls
• Taking Messages
• Using EClincalWorks to schedule patients
• Verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance
• Helping to call in prescriptions or labs.
• Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as needed documents, including details associated with time of service payments
• Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use of Word and Excel
• Faxing documents as needed
• Logging missed calls
• Keeping patient and other sensitive information private

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• One plus year of experience providing exceptional customer service – healthcare environment preferred, though not required.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
• Ability to work effectively as an individual as well as part of a team.

Will include working weekends and evenings.
