The ideal candidate will have at minimum of 1 year of experience and a strong foundation in modern web development technologies. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the team, leaders, and product owners. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly Wordpress websites, themes, blocks and plugins.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Implement design mockups into functional web interfaces, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and adherence to best practices.
- Customize and build upon our Wordpress themes and plugins, including working with Gutenberg and Custom Post Types.
- Collaborate with design and backend teams to integrate front-end components with backend systems via APIs.
- Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and version control using Github to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or identified during testing phases.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and techniques.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as Wordpress developer.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery.
- Experience with Wordpress and PHP, including custom theme and plugin development
- Experience with consuming external RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in version control using Github, including pull requests.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in Irvine office at least twice a week
- Experience with a Javascript framework (React or Vue)
- Experience with a CSS framework (TailwindCSS or Bootstrap)
- Familiarity with Accessibility Best Practices
