Web Designer / Developer

Simple Science is looking for a Web Designer/Developer with a keen eye for detail. Our team is tasked with creating product websites, sales applications, event registration websites, and campaign web pages for leading companies in life sciences, technology, and financial service categories.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated designer/developer who can handle multiple projects simultaneously, and thrives in a fast-paced agency environment.

We are growing an efficient production team and are looking for someone located in Southern California in the counties of Los Angeles/Orange County -- and willing to work daily in the office.

What you will do

• Design and develop a variety of digital assets including websites, email campaigns, event/ campaign landing pages, etc…
• Take ownership of projects from initial concepts to full implementation
• Support and maintain existing digital assets
• Maintain a fun but professional attitude with an efficient work ethic that is highly organized and detail-oriented
• Thrive in a fast paced work environment to meet tight deadlines

Education/Experience qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 3-5 years of experience (post-education) in digital design / development

What we expect you to already know/have

• Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (XD / Photoshop / Etc… )
• Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
• Fundamental design concepts
• Experience with a variety of CMS Systems (Wordpress, Webflow, AEM, Shopify)

Bonus points if you have experience in

• Email / Event marketing tools such as Mailchimp / Marketo / Cvent / Hopin
• Development frameworks such as REACT / Node.js
• Google Analytics
• Being a rad person

Compensation and benefits

• Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 / year (DOE)
