Specific Role Responsibilities

As a member of the marketing team at Torque Fitness, the Web Developer will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function. The Web Developer will also be responsible for assisting, maintaining and modify existing sites/systems to implement corrections, modifications and/or enhancements while troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues as they arise.

· Theme customization: Customizing and modifying existing Shopify themes

· Front-end development: Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the user interface and ensure a responsive design that works well on various devices and screen sizes

· Back-end development: Implementing custom functionality using Shopify's Liquid templating language, creating custom apps or integrations using Shopify's APIs, and handling server-side logic

· Custom feature development: Implementing custom features and functionalities that are not provided out-of-the-box by Shopify, such as advanced product customization options

· Performance optimization: Optimizing the website's performance by minimizing page load times, optimizing images and assets, and implementing caching mechanisms

· Search engine optimization (SEO): Ensuring the website is optimized for search engines by implementing best practices such as optimizing meta tags, improving site speed, and creating SEO-friendly URLs

· Testing and debugging: Thoroughly testing the website to identify and fix any bugs or issues, ensuring a smooth and error-free user experience

· Website maintenance: Regularly updating website content such as text, images, and videos to keep it fresh and relevant, which also includes adding new pages, blog posts, or products, as well as removing outdated content

Candidate Background Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Web Developer, with a focus on Shopify websites
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify's Liquid templating language
• Experience customizing and modifying Shopify themes and templates
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs and the ability to develop custom apps and integrations
• Familiarity with web optimization techniques and best practices for SEO
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to translate business needs into solutions
• Manage time and workload priorities in a quickly shifting environment

This position will be based in our Coon Rapids, MN office.

Hybrid Work Schedule: Four days on-site, one day remote (Wednesday)
Hours per week: Fulltime (Monday-Friday)
Type of Pay: Salary
Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 (based on experience)
PTO: 3 weeks (15 Days) PTO yearly with 40 hr. rollover
