Brandpoint is looking for a Senior Web Application Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge in emerging and traditional Internet technologies, web, and communication services. They will provide technical leadership and informed decision-making with experience in system design and programming. At Brandpoint a Senior Web Application Developer is responsible for software design and engineering activities, including design, development, and implementation of front-end software (including web sites and web services), middleware, back-end infrastructure, software tools, and software applications. Someone in this role should be a software developer with a background in Web Application infrastructure, who is able to work well with minimal supervision, and has proven web-based product experience in the development of technology systems.

This position requires time in office, candidates must be local to the Twin Cities area.

Job Description

• Conceptualizing, designing, constructing, testing, and implementing Web Applications and software systems.
• Analyzing project requirements and converting stakeholder’s needs into an application roadmap.
• Work with leadership team to identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s goals, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field
• Development experience with Internet technologies including C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and SQL
• Experience with relational database development including design integration and modeling for current or prospective applications.
• Experience implementing RESTful web services or microservice APIs and JSON payloads.
• Strong understanding of networking and its implications for system design including knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, and implementation trade-offs.
• Strong technical leadership skills with the knack for persuasive decision-making.
• Provide strong technical direction that includes establishing a technical vision, resolving technical disagreements, and managing the technical quality of team deliverables.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in pinpointing problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and adapting effectively to rapidly changing technology.
