This position comes with a $2,500.00 sign-on bonus!

What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Wastewater Operator/Operator Trainee at our Provincetown, Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Facility. Our Operators are responsible for the full-time operation and general maintenance of facility equipment and process control at the wastewater facilities and collection system.  Additional responsibilities include grounds keeping, plant housekeeping, and lab testing.  If you enjoy working outdoors protecting nature's precious resource, water, then this position is for you!  Woodard & Curran is dedicated to our employee's growth and development and wants to help you on your career path.  Come enjoy the view at our Provincetown, Massachusetts treatment facility!

The schedule may require you to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as required for emergency call outs or scheduled shift coverage. This will rotate between the plant staff so that you are not on call at all times.
What will you need to succeed?
    • The ability to obtain a "Full" Massachusetts municipal wastewater treatment operator's license within 1 year.  Will accept an O.I.T license.
    • Ability to obtain 1B hoisting license to operate facility boom equipped vehicles.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in a wastewater treatment facility, operations, and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education. Will consider entry level with minimal professional experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility and collection system.
    • Must be able to work in inclement weather and perform maintenance in tight / confined spaces specific to tanks and manholes.
    • Basic maintenance skills on mechanical equipment to include pumps and valves.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • High School graduate or equivalent, with technical/vocational school background.
    • Applicant must possess a valid Drivers License and a good driving record and must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
$23 - $28 an hour

The salary ranges given below are a national average only and may be different for this role based on specific collective bargaining agreements or contract requirements.

Please reference this project specific pay range instead.  In addition, for facilities that are unionized and receive benefits through the union, the benefits may differ from what is listed.

Project Specific Pay Range: $23.00 - $28.00/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Vacation time is provided to full and part-time regular employees. Vacation is accrued, based on number of hours worked per week as well as prior years of experience.
