Position: Manager’s Assistant, aka future Herd or Parlor Manager in training
Twin View Farms is a family owned, modern and progressive dairy farm that produces raw milk. The milk is sold to multiple processors that currently use it to make chocolate milk, mozzarella cheese for pizza, as well as other products. We strive to produce the cleanest and healthiest milk possible. Doing this starts with putting the cows first because the healthiest cows are the most productive cows.
As an Agricultural Assistant at Twin View Farms you will work as part of a team that consists of you, the Owner, Herd Manager, Parlor Manager and Farm Manager as well as approximately 35 other employees. You will report directly to the Herd Manager. Your primary role will be to assist the Herd Manager, Parlor Manager and Farm Manager. You will learn and be involved in all hands on aspects of the dairy including animal health, milking, feeding, breeding, equipment maintenance and farming. Shifts will be 10 hours and you will be working 5 and 1/2 days per week. The purpose of this position is to assist the managers and most importantly grow your skills and experience to be able to take over one of the manager positions if one were to come available. The wide range of possible pay is because of the wide range of candidates we are willing to employ. A fresh college graduate with the right attributes but limited skills and experience would be starting at the lower end of the pay range. A skilled and experienced Dairy Manager could be at the top end of the pay range.
Pay and Benefits
- 60,000-90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications

What you will be doing:
- Assisting Herd Manager, Parlor Manager and Farm Manager
- Checking and maintaining barn and milking equipment
- Assisting in maintenance and repairs of rolling equipment
- Occasionally filling in for any missing employees
- General dairy site maintenance and upkeep
Qualifications, attributes and skills you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Driven, teachable and accountable
- Ability to “see the whole picture”
- Know or be willing to learn basic Spanish
- Grew up on a farm or have previous animal agriculture experience
- Hard working and willing to be on call at night
- Enjoy training and managing people to help them achieve their best
