Purpose

Farmer John's is a family owned, high end, garden center/landscape design and Boutique in Farmington Hills. We are proud to have a supportive and fun group of employees! We strive to create an enjoyable working environment and we'd love to have you.

Assist other Team Members in warehouse activities and delivery driver with scheduled deliveries, when needed.   See below tasks for more detail.

Pay rate:  $ 16 - 19/hour depending on experience and skills

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Chauffeur license not required, but useful

 - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Tasks

• Ride in trucks to assist in delivering such items as grills, patio furniture, umbrellas and plants/trees/shrubs.

• Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or services.

• Assist in delivering a wide variety of items to different customer locations via different routes.

• Assist delivery driver to follow routes and time schedules.

• Load, unload, prepare and inspect the delivery vehicles.

• Follow all DOT regulations and safety standards.

• Assist in performing deliveries in a timely manner.

• Preparing and checking each item for delivery daily.

• Loading the delivery truck for daily deliveries.

• Assist in the organization and daily upkeep of the warehouse according to company standards.

• Assist other Team Members in the upkeep and care of all company vehicles and equipment.

• Perform various misc. tasks as assigned.

• Drive company pickup truck to carry out various tasks for company such as picking up material from hardware stores, big box stores and other needed items.
