The Global Segment Lead for Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and Product Design & Manufacturing (PD&M) for Z by HP Workstations will be responsible for defining and driving strategic initiatives for the two industry verticals. This position will be a key customer and industry evangelist within the company, helping ensure HP is as relevant and engaging as possible to both internal and external audiences. Deep industry insights and key partner and customer relationships are mandatory, as are extensive expertise in both business and marketing.
The Segment Lead role will also require an extensive amount of relationship-building – from identifying and developing strategic alliances with industry associations to gaining the trust of hardware and software partners worldwide.
The Segment Lead must possess exceptional communications skills, combined with a strategic and creative mindset. They must be able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and possess a strong work ethic, as well as a genuine passion for HP’s products and services.
Responsibilities
Lead segment strategy for AEC and PD&M industry verticals, working collaboratively with business units and other corporate teams.
Develop world-class partner programs and initiatives in close collaboration with partners, business units and Marketing Communications teams.
Lead and host CTO and IT Decision Maker Customer Advisory Councils in collaboration with Product Planning. Gather customer feedback on product roadmap and present results to R&D.
Identify unique market trends and insights to inform a customer-centric approach to Product Planning, Product Management, GTM Marketing, and Worldwide Marketing.
Develop tactical industry plans and see them through to implementation and completion.
Assist HP in demonstrating thought leadership within the AEC and PD&M segments, through customer partnerships and direct public speaking engagements.
Manage budgets and exercise excellent judgement when it comes to identifying and negotiating sponsorship deals.
Align Worldwide Marketing, regional Sales and Marketing teams to implement and accelerate execution of segment strategies.
Assist Sales with identifying new customers and provide ongoing business development support.
Company spokesperson at industry events for press interviews.
Collaborate with other business units on cross-company initiatives.
Develop and drive brand-building programs to demonstrate HP market leadership in the AEC and PD&M segments.
Ensure HP’s AEC and PD&M industry marketing communications are relevant to the target audience.
Serve as a key AEC and PD&M leader and expert within HP.
Requirements
The Global AEC and PD&MSegment Lead will have:
15 years’ experience in Marketing and Product Management in a corporate environment, with a focus on either AEC or PD&M, or both.
Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus.
Broad network of global AEC/PD&M customer and partner contacts.
Deep understanding of 3D CAD, design, rendering, simulation, and AI workflows, and customer hardware and software requirements.
Strong leadership, subject matter expertise, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively lead, influence, and drive decision making across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Proven track record in working effectively across geographies to accomplish key business objectives.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with industry partners.
Ability to effectively and convincingly communicate ideas and objectives to executives of all levels. Includes relevant and timely examples from within the AEC and PD&M industries to support recommendations.
Firm understanding of digital marketing and social media.
Ability to envision short- and long-term opportunities and create plans to capitalize on them.
Skills to take appropriate business risks by making intelligent decisions that balance a variety of factors (costs, competitive threats, etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is 123,950.00 - 179,760.000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity.
