The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted Salary Range: USD $180,000.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) to support our clients with modernization and consolidation of legacy case management systems using the Pegasystems Platform. This position requires US Citizenship and will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities: The successful candidates will support our federal clients with modernization and consolidation of legacy case management systems using the Pega Platform.
- Lead a team of Systems/Sr Systems Architects and Business Architects, directing the work of employees assigned to the program from various groups.
- Act as primary customer contact for assigned team(s).
- Guide and teach junior team members to become proficient in Pega best practices as well as Pega Case Management application development.
- Migrate the functionality of dozens of legacy case management systems into a COTS Enterprise Case Management (ECM) Solution Integration System (SIS) (Pega) capable of supporting issue-resolution across a large enterprise.
- Support the configuration, reliability, and availability of the Pega Platform in customer hosted environments.
- Modify or develop new workflow configurations to maximize production and operating efficiency.
- Create:
- Process-oriented web applications
- Customized flows and action forms
- Activities and steps for implementing Core Business Logic
- High-level Enterprise-Class Structures
- File Listeners for automatic creation of work objects
- Work with infrastructure team on capacity planning
- Enable reduction of redundancy and overlap in the data across the enterprise.
- Prepare role-based access groups.
- Customize manager and user portals.
- Validate code for compliance of Pega guardrails and standards.
- Test and debug using Tracer and Rules Inspector.
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

- Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience in I.T., computer science, or related field.
- Pega Certified Lead System Architect (LSA) certification required.
- Must be US Citizen.
- 5+ years of experience with large, enterprise-scale Pega projects.
- Familiarity with web services (e.g., SOAP, RESTful, XML, JSON).
- Understanding of PRPC flows, outcomes, and rules.
- Knowledge of I.T.:

- System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Project management frameworks

- Ability to lead a team and develop resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in I.T., computer science, or related field preferred, but may be substituted for additional relevant work experience.
