Warehouse Supervisor Overview
As the Warehouse Shift Supervisor, you will assist in management of day-to-day operations as they relate to maintaining and coordinating cross-dock operations and ensure its processes are safe and efficient. This individual will be an essential part to the cornerstone of UST’s growth and success that is built upon the expectation that EVERY team member will Execute Excellence Every time - simply known internally as E3.
Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)
- Acts as the acting manager on duty when the Warehouse Manager is absent
- Continuously monitors of applicable systems to ensure complete and accurate data
- Continuously monitors of staff performance to maintain UST’s E3 standards
- Coordinates with the Operations Manager to utilize additional staff as needed for the department
- Ensures staff keeps up with safe and proper practices when handling the product to ensure it’s always in good condition
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all team members
- Monitors and completes any scheduled reporting relating to the department
- Oversees accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products to the end consumer (last mile)
Requirements
- Ability to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Possesses effective written and verbal communication
- Previous experience in Warehouse or Distribution operations
- Valid Driver’s License
