Responsibility for inventory maintenance, picking, packing, and distribution duties to meet the daily exceptions of the organization while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient warehouse through the adherence of federal, local and company policies. Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, accurate and timely dispatch of goods. Responsible for the arrangement of goods within the warehouse. Responsible for the management of the warehouse teams including personnel issues such as the recruitment, training, and discipline that strengthens employee engagement that is consistent with our company policies and culture. Responsible for management of fleet ensuring regular vehicle maintenance, accuracy and timeliness and efficiency of deliveries. Responsible for resolution of issues or concerns with deliveries for both driver and customer. Establish guidelines and monitor cycle counts ensuring inventory accuracy. Responsible for building and maintaining client and supplier relationships to increase sales and company presence in the market. Responsible for providing effective, accurate and timely customer service for all internal and external customers. When necessary, assume any position as needed and/or directed to achieve company's daily output needs.
Requirements
- Meet and greet every guest that visits our location and provide the highest level of concierge customer service.
- Manage the receipt of inbound transfers, containers, LTL shipments and ground shipments into computer system.
- Manage the process transfers and orders in and out of the warehouse in a timely and orderly manner.
- Manage email correspondence for all warehouse responsibilities.
- Manage the execution of cycle counts, inventory spot checks and adjustments.
- Prepare and manage deliveries and associated documents.
- Be pro-active in the scheduling of all deliveries/ transfers with Garden State Tile truck to be efficient, cost effective, and make changes when necessary.
- Work in close communication with Garden State Tile driver for all delivery issues/concerns and work on resolution that is best outcome for both Garden State Tile and customer.
- Inspect outbound transfers, double check picked items.
- Update outbound shipment status, key tracking info and special notes.
- Building, develop, and maintaining authentic client relationships.
- Educate yourself on sundry inventory items i.e. thinset, grouts, shower systems and tool inventory to increase sales from the warehouse.
- Responsible for the organization of the sundry inventory and tools in the sales center.
- Promoting and selling sundry and tool inventory.
- Meeting with supplier representatives to train and learn on new, engagement clients with workshops.
- Organize and execute contractor events to build relationships and showcase new products.
- Report damages immediately to proper department.
- Ensure that company equipment follows scheduled vendor maintenance contracts.
- Be proficient in all Garden State Tile operating systems.
- Complete quarterly safety check lists.
- Confidently make decisions with little or no guidance to resolve client issues/concerns.
- Be a leader, engage your team, earn their respect.
- Encourage your team, show support.
- Support the showroom staff, be positive and professional and stay in communication regarding any customer/ delivery/product issues.
- Continually educate yourself on all products and our company so you can offer meaningful information to all our guests.
