Efficient warehouse management is vital to the success of not only the Dawson facility, but PURIS as a company. It is the purpose of the Warehouse Manager to lead a team of Warehouse Technicians, oversee inventory levels, inbound and outbound shipments, sanitation, and require proper documentation to ensure that there are no bottlenecks in the production of finished products. This entails aligning warehouse operations with overall business objectives and optimizing warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Effective management of the warehouse will also ensure timely release of finished goods enabling PURIS to operate at maximum throughput capacity.  

• Above all else, the Warehouse Manager is responsible to maintain a people and food safe environment in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

  • Inspect warehouse equipment to ensure it is functioning  properly and in good condition.
  • Facilitate daily team member stand up meetings
• Food Safety Leader
  • Accountable for the oversight of warehouse cleanliness and sanitation documentation.
• Business Support
  • Effectively designing, improving and maintaining  operational procedures for:
    • Verification of incoming and outgoing  shipments.
    • Cycle counting and/or annual physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory software and count sheets to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Direct salvage of damaged or used materials.
    • Allocating product for and generating necessary documentation for all outbound shipments 
    • Raw material supply inventories 
• Manage and lead the Warehouse team
• Team Player who can maintain positive, collaborative and effective relationships across PURIS

Requirements

• Combination of relevant skills and experience, and/or degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred 
• 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing warehouse operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Experience implementing best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment and shipping.
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of long-term warehouse and supply chain strategies. 

Skills and Capabilities:

Proven Leadership presence and the capability of collaborative solutions 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Experience with ERP (Aptean preferred) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
