Warehouse Manager

Manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and warehouse personnel staff (4) including but not limited to leadership, direction and oversight to the functions of Receiving, Packaging, Shipping, Physical Control of Inventory, training, and general warehouse operations.

Ensure compliance to work instructions.

Ensure training, proficiency and productivity of assigned personnel are essential roles and responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager and are reflected in the performance of each department member and the department as a whole.

Responsible for recommending the need for procedure/process changes, additional resources (personnel, equipment, etc.), infrastructure changes, and other improvements that pertain to the warehouse operations to the Materials Manager.

Ensure accuracy of inventory counts and locations, including incoming, scheduled and stock.

Responsible for maintenance of equipment and ensure cleanliness of facility and equipment.

Must be committed, by way of leadership and activities, to the department’s (and to TranSpec’s) continual process improvement efforts.

Responsible for ensuring that all areas of responsibility are completed in a safe and effective manner, including but not limited to Receiving, Packaging, Stock Pulls, Shipping, Equipment, Supplies, Facility, Material Control, Reporting, and Training.

Knowledge of counting parts using a scale is a plus.

5+ years experience in warehouse management role required.

Good oral and written communication skills required.

Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds required.

Ability to stand and walk around the warehouse handling material on an as-needed basis required.

Other - (include but not limited to):

• Ensure warehouse area, equipment, inventory and facility in a clean, organized and safety-oriented manner.
• Pick-up or delivery of materials in company vehicle as needed.
• Ensure maintenance of warehouse equipment is performed in a timely manner.

No audit deficiencies in areas of responsibility.

Achieve assigned personal, department, and company performance and productivity challenges and goals.

No complaints taken regarding shipments made as to packaging, labeling or shipment method, accountable to the shipping function.

No complaints taken regarding received shipments as to count, control, and information provided, accountable to the receiving and material control functions.

Skills Required to perform the essential functions of this job:

Type 35 words per minute or demonstrate competency in specific data and computer keyboard usage and entry functions.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively for short periods throughout the work day.

Ability to provide clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing (including emails), by relating all pertinent details in an accurate and understandable manner.

Ability to operate Forklift as required (must have forklift certification).

Safe driving as reflected in State driving records if an authorized driver (must be able to pass driver requirements and be approved as an authorized company vehicle driver).

Ability to achieve UPS Hazmat certification within one year of employment.

Must have strong attention to detail - will be working with part numbers that are extremely similar.

Must possess strong organizational skills; accuracy and consistency.

Positive leadership and interpersonal relationship skills as experienced by co-workers and subordinates.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
