Scooter’s Coffee Store Manager
Starting Wage: $ 35 ,000
$1,000 Sign-On Bonus: $250 paid out quarterly through first year of employment

SUMMARY: The Store Manager sets an ‘upbeat and happy tone’ for the store. They ensure that the mission, principles, and Scooter's Coffee touchstones are carried out, embraced, and modeled by all employees. The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the assigned Scooter’s Coffee location; directs staff to ensure that customers are satisfied with their experience; and makes certain the assigned location is profitable. The Store Manager may work up to 40- 50 hours per week.
We are looking for candidates to develop and cross train in every aspect of:
Leadership - The ability to positively lead and develop a team while following all franchise regulations.
Administrative - The ability to efficiently staff and stock a store while meeting all deadlines and operating within payroll and inventory budgets.
Organizational - The ability to maintain a clean, organized work environment both inside and outside the store.
Customer Service - The ability to build sales and develop loyal relationships with customers by providing outstanding products and amazing service in a fast, friendly, efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
On the floor barista hours
Make the store schedule
Manage store inventory, including counting and placing orders
Handle cash deposits, and ensure proper records are kept
Keep accurate sales records , including m onitor store sales trends and individual barista's performance
Hire and manage team members
Builds relationships with customers (and of course their dogs too ? )
Covers shifts as needed
Performs other functions as directed such as running errands attending meetings , participating in training, and providing training to team members
LEADERSHIP
Nurtures a 'Family' feeling among staff members
Provides coaching and direction for the team
Sets goals and provides motivation for the barista team
Hires, promotes , and coaches baristas as needed , including disciplinary action if needed
Ensures exceptional customer service, with a customer comes first attitude
Ability to solve problems independently , especially during high volume times
Engage baristas in meeting performance indicators
Develops team members' leadership skills
In short, we put you in charge of our stores. We trust you to build the team, grow sales, and get stuff done. If you need someone looking over your shoulder telling you what to do, this is not the job for you.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma; Associate D egree in management or related field preferred
2+ years of customer service experience required
2+ years of experience managing staff preferred
Must have a current driver’s license
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Must be able to deal professionally and tactfully with customers and staff at all times
Must have good interpersonal communication skills
Must work efficiently in a quick-paced environment; be able to multi-task and prioritize
Must be dependable and reliable , with the ability to work a non-standard schedule
Must be able to assist employees while helping to build and lead a skillful, knowledgeable team
Must have the ability to obtain an extensive knowledge of product and preparation
Physical Capabilities Required
Most physical exertion is in the ‘low’ range, requiring exertion of less than 5 pounds of force regularly ; however, it may occasionally require exertion of up to 25 pounds.
Job includes a large amount of reaching, standing, walking, talking , and hearing
Must have sufficient visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned to employees, and to make general inspections of the work area
Environmental conditions include a mild to moderate noise level
