Job Description
We are a new company based in Tolleson Arizona, specializing in wall paneling and wood products. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to oversee our new manufacturing and distribution center which includes an automated line to produce one of our popular ranges. The company is in need of a growth-minded individual to lead the warehouse and take this business to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
Materials Planning: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets and customer demands. This includes determining the required resources, materials, and equipment for the production process.
Quality Control: Ensure that all products or services meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and specifications. Implement quality control procedures and continuously monitor warehouse processes to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage production budgets, ensuring that production costs are kept within approved limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce production expenses without compromising quality.
Staff Supervision: Oversee warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a positive work environment, provide guidance, and resolve any personnel issues that may arise.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the entire site. Implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety training, and promote a safety-first working environment for all employees.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase production efficiency and quality. Utilize lean manufacturing or other improvement methodologies to streamline processes.
Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components required for production.
Production Reporting: Prepare production reports and metrics to track performance, identify trends, and communicate production status to upper management.
Project Management: Oversee specific projects or product launches to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, customer service and sales to ensure a smooth production flow and meet customer demands.
Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and labor laws.
Day-in-the-Life of a Warehouse Manager
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels
- Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize distribution center operations
- Coordinate transportation planning, including dispatching and tracking of freight
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost management in a warehouse setting
- Utilize WMS system to track inventory, generate reports, and manage warehouse processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing processes and procedures
- Experience leading projects end-to-end with impact to the local site.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize and delegate workload effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working for a small-to-midsize business or startup.
- Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
- Relevant experience working with the Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Meets, etc) in a professional environment
- Familiarity with Inventory Planner, ShipHero, Shopify a major plus.
- Certified forklift operator
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
