Job Title:Warehouse Lift Operator

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Obtains copy of shipping order and stages material to be loaded
Complies with customer-specific instructions for orders, such as custom labels, material orientation, etc.
Obtains copy of receiving order and unloads material and stages it for inspection. After inspection, puts away material into location and submits filled out receiving documents to supervisor.
Stacking goods in the correct storage location, following inventory control instructions
Ensure trucks are chocked before loading or offloading freight
Ensure trailer floor is clear of debris before loading fiber material
Load and unload freight using a forklift and/or clamp truck
Ensure load outs are secure before handing driver paperwork
Repair collapsed boxes or fallen over bags of material
Repair damaged material packaging, including holes and tears
Record lot numbers/locations for each load transferred
Performing daily equipment checks such as forklift and clamp truck inspections, including documentation
Use RF Scanner for inventory control
Clean up of area/equipment throughout the day and at end of shift
Follow all plant safety rules
Report any unsafe issues to management immediately
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
Forklift certification per OSHA standards (Certification provided by company)
Other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Employee must be able to work in hot and cold environments. Be able to stand for 12-hour shifts.
