Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Job Description
The forkLift Operator will be driving electric powered stand up industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory and Company procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
Position forks under loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area.
Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
Follow GMPs and safety guidelines.
Pick customer orders as required.
Inventory material on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
Inspect trailers prior to loading and unloading product. Document onto proper form.
Load and unload trucks and trailers.
Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting devices.
Inspect truck daily and fill out operational checklists, recharge batteries.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Related Experience: 1-2 years of previous related experience driving a forklift
Compensation: $20.00
Schedule:
2nd Shift 3PM - 11:30PM with the possibility of overtime
Applicant must consent to a pre-employment drug screening, lift test (ability to lift 50 pounds) and physical evaluation.
Additional Information
Physical: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights.
Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)
Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Position Responsibilities: 100.00% - Perform functions in the assigned department such as Picking, Putaway or material movement areas as required.
Work with DC leads and clerks to ensure the completion of all assigned tasks.
Perform detailed tasks with minimal errors.
Ability to achieve established productivity standards.
Work safely and contribute to a positive work environment.
Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers through quality of work.
Ensure that freight is scanned and moved to the correct destination.
Keep work area safe and clean according to general warehousing practice and OSHA requirements.
Will move to the work as necessary. Physical Requirements: Comfortable walking/standing 90% of the day. Heavy lifting up to 65 pounds
