Warehouse Chemical Shipper/Receiver

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Chemical Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team. This vital role focuses on the safe and efficient handling of both liquid and solid chemical materials, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities from warehousing and inventory management to the preparation of shipping documents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemical handling, a commitment to safety, and the drive to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chemical Handling: Safely manage the handling, storage, and transportation of liquid and solid chemicals, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

• Inventory Management: Conduct receiving, warehousing, picking, and shipping activities while maintaining accurate inventory records.

• Forklift Operation: Skillfully operate a forklift for the movement of goods within the warehouse.

• Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documents, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

• Safety Compliance: Uphold all company and regulatory safety and environmental standards to maintain a secure workplace.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, fostering open communication and participating in team-building activities.

• Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehousing and chemical handling.

• Valid forklift license.

• Familiarity with DOT shipping regulations and safety standards.

• Competence in using computer systems; additional exposure to specific warehouse management software is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in related fields preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to work on Ten (10) hour shift in a Warehouse and fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment.

• MUST be able to lift 50LBS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
