Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Fabricator / Structural Welder to join our team. The Structural Welder plays a crucial role in fabricating and assembling metal structures, components, and equipment used in various industries such as construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.
As a Fabricator / Structural Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds that meet industry standards and specifications as well as fabrication. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welding Operations:
- Perform welding operations using various processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate welding layouts.
- Prepare workpieces, including cutting, grinding, and fitting metal components as required.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding techniques, materials, and tools.
- Fabrication of any assigned materials
2. Weld Quality:
- Ensure the quality and integrity of welds by inspecting them visually and using non-destructive testing methods (e.g., X-ray, ultrasonic, or dye penetrant).
- Perform repairs and rework as necessary to meet specified standards.
- Maintain and adjust welding equipment to optimize weld quality and minimize defects.
3. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety procedures, protocols, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use by other team members.
- Comply with industry codes and standards for welding and structural fabrication.
4. Maintenance and Tool Management:
- Maintain and clean welding equipment to ensure its optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage for timely repair or replacement.
- Manage and maintain personal welding tools and equipment.
5. Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection results.
- Report any deviations or issues to Operation Manager.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members, such as sales department, engineers and quality control inspectors, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding work progress and any potential challenges.
- Field work may be required when needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal welding program or apprenticeship preferred
- Certification in welding processes (e.g., AWS, ASME, WABO) is a required.
- Proven experience in structural welding, preferably in a related industry
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work overtime and potentially travel to job sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
