The Vice President of Product Management will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products through oversight of the entire product lifecycle from concept to delivery and ensuring that our produces meet the needs of our customers while aligning with our business objectives. The VP Product Management is responsible for creating the company’s product vision, its strategies, and its product roadmaps grounded in customer research, business need, and business capability. You will work closely with the Vice President of Engineering, their software development teams, UX/UI engineers and product marketing to drive product and customer experience strategies from inception to fruition. At the same time, you will develop strong working relationships with the DRB executive team to ensure alignment and consensus on your product vision and strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong Product Management foundation, having previously planned and launched customer-impacting products and features, and be comfortable working with multiple digital integrations to deliver a seamless customer experience. Ideally the candidate will have a strong SaaS background, or have worked with products in software/tech.
They possess a start-up mentality, with the ability to navigate an enterprise organization and have a strong track record of facilitating the delivery of enterprise-level roadmaps across product portfolios.
They are a strong leader and mentor of product managers, able to coordinate and manage high-performing leaders in the organization and prepare them for success at and beyond DRB.
Essential Functions:
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- Own and drive the company’s product strategy, requirements definition and documentation, and corresponding roadmaps; prioritize product features and categorize into key delivery milestones and releases.
- Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to influence product features and prioritization.
- Drives the product development process through continuous and cross communication across functional units and stakeholder groups, establishing relationships with collaborators at every organizational level.
- Champions a customer centric approach to product development through gathering and analyzing customer feedback, market research, and data-drive insights to improve product offerings.
- Capture and document business and/or product requirements.
- Ability to develop detailed, actionable product requirements to ensure business, architecture, engineering, and QA partners have a clear picture of the product capabilities to be built and how to validate they are functioning as designed.
- Manage a group of high-performing product leaders, mentor and establish a culture of strong customer driven Product Management.
- User Advocate: Hold a deep compassion for our users, and creatively tackle problems with a user-first mentality. Provide guidance on product priorities and delivery schedule to optimize business value and speed to market.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customers success teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and product launch plans.
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of product initiatives and use metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· The position works under the general direction of the President exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance in the department.
· The position is a leader of leaders (6 direct reports) 13 total team size.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in sr. product leadership roles with experience in product design, and product development lifecycle from conception to delivery.
- 3+ years of proven experience in technical product/program management; preferably in a technology or software company.
- Exceptional leadership, team building, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Deep understanding of industry trend and market dynamics.
- Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through.
- Strong customer focus and ability to demonstrate pragmatic decision-making.
- Experience transitioning from a solution set up into a SaaS lineup is a plus
- Strong global experience preferred
