Group Summary

Responsible to provide communication and reporting of the Department/shift progress/results in achieving divisional goals; and the regular operation of the department.Manage and supervise production employees in a production environment.
Manages the complete shift with Area Leaders, Team Leaders, and direct production employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work; Conflict resolution; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
Oversee shift production, maintenance, materials and quality groups making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality. Escalating to proper staff when needed per escalation policy
Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in business administration, management, engineering, industrial technology or related field or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Ability to communicate with others, both verbal and written.
- Able to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, procedures and business correspondence.
- Able to clearly and effectively respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers.
- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to work flexible hours/shifts
