Essential Function(s):
Plan, coordinate, control, and manage production, maintenance, toolroom, and materials departments to ensure orders are produced and shipped in line with specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing costs.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct Production, Toolroom, Maintenance, and Materials Department activities.
- Review production schedules and modify as necessary.
- Develop and implement improved operating methods and procedures.
- Establish programs to motivate and develop employee skills.
- Interact with customers and sales representatives.
- Develop effective lines of communication and cooperation between departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Specifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years related manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years managerial experience.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite required.
- Strong team-building skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of ISO/TS 16949:2002 and LEAN Manufacturing preferred.

Incumbent works closely with senior managers to plan and provide support for programs and operations. Must have a high level of energy, be results-oriented, and have strong people skills. Must enjoy a challenge and have a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Normal workweeks of 55-60 hours+ are not unusual. Thus, the individual must be prepared to make a significant commitment to the organization.
