Job Description
Seeking an experienced multifamily operation professional to assume the VP of Operations position within our organization. This position will oversee ongoing operations and all phases of property operations including, policies & procedures creation, strategic market positioning, involved in the lease-up of new locations and successful integration of new acquisitions, overseeing all current properties and Regional Managers across all locations and advocate culture for our property management division in the aggressive and successful growth of the Company.
The VP of Operations will be a participant of our executive management team, reporting to the President. This role will be responsible for maintaining control of our diverse business operations, requiring an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic.
The goal of the VP of Operations position is to ensure the effective functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth while leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Oversee existing and create new business strategies, plans and procedures
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Build a strong team across management and construction operations
- Oversee daily operations of property management and the work of Regional Managers.
- Serve in an advisory role for Project Managers of construction teams
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
- Resolve red flag concerns throughout portfolio and operations when called upon.
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors
- Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel, designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization
- Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on operations to executive team and President
- Foster a success-oriented and accountable environment within the Company
Requirements
- Proven experience as a leader in the multifamily industry – operational
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Demonstrate competency in strategic planning, policy and business development
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field
- Maintain a willingness to advance professionally in the industry
