What you'll be doing:
- Assess market opportunities for event films, develop distribution strategies and operational plans, oversee their implementation, and ensure the successful delivery of event films to audiences with profitability.
- Negotiate distribution deals with artists management, content owners, and distribution partners.
- Establish and maintain relationships in the entertainment industry, to source potential acts and events in collaboration with other company leaders.
- Forecasting, and analyzing performance metrics to drive revenue growth while ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum ROI.
- Conducting market research, analyzing audience trends, and evaluating the competitive landscape to make informed decisions regarding distribution strategies.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in film or music label distribution, sales, marketing, or related areas.
- Extensive experience in film distribution or related areas within the entertainment industry.
- Strong business acumen, effective relationship management, excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
- A strong network within the industry, including relationships with distributors, exhibitors, agents, managers, and entertainment industry professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional suite and applications. (Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams).
- Ability to travel quarterly to Kansas City and 4-6 times per year within the US for entertainment-related events.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong decision-making skills, with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrated success in prior roles.
- Bachelor's degree in film studies, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Detail-orientation and "can do" work ethic.
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Aptitude for maintaining composure in high pressure scenarios.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and maximizing ROI in the entertainment industry.
- Experience in contract negotiation and deal structuring within the film or entertainment sector.
- Knowledge of content licensing and rights management processes.

Job Summary
The Vice President, AMC Theatres Distribution is responsible for assessing market opportunities for event films, developing distribution strategies and operational plans, negotiating deals with artists and distribution partners, and ensuring the successful delivery of event films to audiences with profitability. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of the film and/or entertainment industry.
Compensation Information
AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs. The compensation for this position is: $160,000 to $180,000 plus 30% annual bonus potential, plus eligible for participation in long-term incentive plan. The selected candidate must reside in the Los Angeles or New York City market.
