The Corporate Engagement and Volunteer Manager will develop and steward strategic relationships with corporate partners and community volunteers that support The Foodbank’s mission of providing nutritious food to food-insecure individuals and families. This is a full-time position that combines corporate and volunteer engagement with fundraising. The successful candidate will report to the Development Director.
Corporate Engagement
- Conduct outreach to identify corporate partners that promote employee involvement and workplace giving.
- Engage local corporations in full-service partnerships that may include any or all of the following: group volunteer opportunities, food drives (in person and virtual) workplace giving, matching gifts, mobile pantry sponsorship, corporate grants, and charity fundraisers.
- Arrange group volunteer events and food drives to engage corporate employees. Pair these efforts with workplace giving programs with The Foodbank as beneficiary.
- Ensure volunteer coverage at all mobile pantries.
- Arrange both tangible and virtual food drives that focus on foods most needed by the foodbank.
- Solicit, manage and renew corporate sponsorships for mobile food pantries, including ensuring sponsor recognition on vehicle and social media platforms.
- Promote the Foodbank as beneficiary of both virtual and in-person corporate fundraisers, providing advisement on maximizing event income.
- Promote online crowdfunding with the Foodbank as beneficiary.
- Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in corporate fundraising.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate sponsorship proposals and reports, with the approval of the Development Director.
- Draft communications to corporate donors, including email updates, notifications, and invitations.
- Maintain a calendar of due dates for corporate funding requests, reports, other deliverables, and corporate donor engagement.
- Promote, track and manage individual giving by donors who were originally connected to the Foodbank through their employer.
- Test and implement new ways of engaging corporate partners.
General Volunteer Engagement
- Manage CERVIS Volunteer Management Software for volunteer applications and scheduling, sign-in, reminders, thank-yous and group reservation management.
- Recruit, train and schedule volunteers for one-time or ongoing service opportunities.
- Ensure that all volunteers are signed in at each opportunity, welcomed, and receive overview of the Foodbank and its mission and work.
- Develop one-time or ongoing volunteer service opportunities, including updating and posting volunteer job descriptions.
- Provide ongoing support of long-term service volunteers to promote a positive, meaningful experience.
- Encourage volunteers to host virtual food drives
- Track activity of all volunteers in database, including service hours, giving history and community contacts.
- Test and implement new ways of engaging, recognizing and communicating with volunteers.
Qualifications
- Experience in any or all of the following: Corporate Engagement, fundraising, marketing, grant writing, online fundraising and/or food drives, volunteer recruitment or event management.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to instill enthusiasm and support for The Foodbank.
- Ability to bring new ideas to fruition. Able to independently test and implement new ways of engaging corporate partners, building crowd-fundraising participation, implementing online food drives, and more.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Canva, Adobe.
- Experience with volunteer management software or other CRM platforms.
- Experience either in a non-profit agency or corporate workplace giving program a big plus.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
