The Father EngagementCase Manager at the Children's Bureau is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to fathers and families involved in the program. The Case Manager will play a critical role in supporting fathers' involvement in their children's lives, promoting positive parenting, and strengthening family relationships. The Case Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and community partners to ensure the successful implementation of the program and the achievement of its goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive case management services to fathers participating in the Father Engagement Program.
- Conduct initial assessments to identify the needs, strengths, and goals of each father and their family.
- Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with fathers, focusing on parenting skills, employment, education, and other relevant areas.
- Regularly monitor progress and adjust service plans as needed.
- Provide guidance, support, and advocacy to fathers in accessing community resources and services, including housing, healthcare, and legal assistance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Facilitate and promote meaningful father-child interactions and positive parenting practices.
- Conduct individual and group sessions to enhance fathers' parenting skills, communication, and relationship-building with their children.
- Collaborate with fathers to develop strategies for overcoming barriers to active involvement in their children's lives.
- Organize and coordinate father-focused events, workshops, and support groups.
- Encourage fathers to participate in parenting education classes and workshops.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with community organizations, social service agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to provide comprehensive services and support for fathers and families.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and develop collaborative strategies.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of program evaluation strategies.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Proven experience in case management, preferably in a social services or family support setting.
- Knowledge of fatherhood initiatives, family engagement practices, and parenting education.
- Familiarity with community resources and social service systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with fathers and families.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate case records.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting family well-being and father involvement.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
