SUMMARY
The Volunteer Coordinator is the primary face and contact to our volunteer groups both for our Construction site and our ReStore. The Volunteer Coordinator’s primary goal is to recruit volunteers, respond to volunteer-related inquiriesand work closely with our construction staff to continue the construction of our Habitat homes. The Volunteer Coordinator will handle volunteer questions and scheduling and must be comfortable expressing thanks, talking to volunteers and serve as a point of contact for multiple volunteer groups.
PROGRAM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure individuals and groups are scheduled and coordinated in a timely and professional manner
· Update our online volunteer portal with the correct information including closures, group build dates and construction locations
· Engage new and on-going volunteers through recruitment, scheduling, orientation, coordination, and/or supervision on the construction site and ReStore to ensure that each volunteer has a productive and rewarding experience.
· Coordinate, assist, and implement special projects.
· Help GWHFH staff identify and develop new volunteer opportunities
· Provide care for volunteers on GWHFH construction sites, register and welcome groups and taking photos of the day
· Data entry into our volunteer database
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to represent GWHFH professionally in the community
● Ability to maintain effective relationships with volunteers and staff
● Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and database systems quickly
● Experience leading, supervising, scheduling, and/or coordination volunteers
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
