We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Syndicated Loan Lead Manager II to join our CLIENT SERVICE team. This role is located in HOUSTON, TX and will work a HYBRID schedule (3 days per week in-office required.)

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide complex analytics and reporting services, working to improve and automate Client Processing systems.
  • Manage complex external client issues related to Syndicated Loans (on-going client servicing for various programs, post-sales support, resolving operational issues, and product implementations)
  • Leads team members in providing support to major clients whose partnership with BNY Mellon may have a broad impact on the business in addressing and resolving complex escalations, operational and technical issues, and ensuring are executed.
  • May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project, and employ subject matter and industry expertise for Syndicated Loans within defined area (s)
  • Assist in communicating needs and issues with internal and external clients.
  • Participate in innovative product development, enhancements, and system testing to ensure that products continue to accurately and efficiently process high value transactions.
  • Solve complex problems based on an understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the system.
  • Use in-depth area knowledge to apply ingenuity and creativity to common repeat problems and determines more permanent resolutions.
  • Provide training, technical assistance and operational support to junior level client processing roles.
  • May supervise and/or oversee the daily activities for an assigned team and mentor new/less experienced employees.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effective across groups within the organization.
  • Knowledge of the closing and servicing Syndicated Loans, along with trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a loan trading business preferred.
  • 3-5 years of directly related experience with Syndicated loans and/or comparable commercial lending experience.
  • Experience with loan-based software Loan IQ and ClearPar strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience acting as a subject matter expert and coordinating the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, provide guidance and work under limited supervision.
