Position Description:
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing the implementation and adherence to ARS’s strategic vision, management of day-to-day operations with emphasis on quality of care, patient satisfaction, and profitability. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for managerial work planning, directing, analyzing, and coordinating operations and regulatory adherence across all ARS facilities in all states. This person ensures operational integrity of all ARS treatment locations in accordance with ARS policies and procedures, state, and federal regulations, and in accordance with best and/or promising practices and the ethics and standards of the staff member’s discipline.
Duties and Responsibilities
Consistently demonstrates leadership behaviors and communication style aligned with organizational culture, mission, vision and values.
Directs and assists in the overall planning, development, and administration of the assigned programs.
Provides direct supervision to Regional and Executive Directors.
Monitors all ARS facilities for compliance with physical plant requirements and overall facility appearance
Monitors all ARS facilities for compliance with operational timelines and completion of established goals including but not limited to staff onboarding and orientation, census development, staff retention, clinical compliance, and finances
Collaborates with the Chief Clinical Officer and Senior Medical Director to ensure orientation and annual training is conducted in accordance with state and CARF requirements while cultivating professional growth
Directs or assists with policy development and implementation, program planning, coordination and evaluation of policies and services, organizational changes including new program start up.
Reviews and revises programs and policies in collaboration with the Executive team to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, accreditation and certification standards.
Responsible for overseeing facility staffing, trainings, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
Conducts routine audits to evaluate adherence to ARS policies and procedures, best practices, and state and federal regulations.
Works with the Regional and Executive Directors, site management team, and the corporate team to develop performance improvement plans to continuously improve operations of the organization and the quality of services.
Works closely with direct service staff and management team to develop service delivery systems to improve efficiency and the overall patient experience
Participates in the development of budget requests; monitors expenditures according to budget allocations/appropriations; recommends and/or initiates cost-saving measures.
Conducts analysis; prepares and/or reviews reports and related information to evaluate existing organizations, policies, procedures, and practices.
Represents and/or serves as liaison for the assigned area of responsibility; cooperates with, and addresses federal, state, local, and community organizations, and other groups pertaining to the assigned programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years prior leadership experience over multiple opioid treatment programs
Knowledge of addiction and addiction treatment theory and practice
In-Depth knowledge of state and federal law, in regards to maintaining confidentiality of patient information
Multi-location supervisory experience required. Multi-state operational and supervisory experience preferred
Experience managing and developing budgets
Experience with developing and implementing new or revised policies, procedures, and regulations.
Proven ability to establish and successfully achieve a strategic vision.
Well-developed planning, marketing, organizational development, program development, and business skills.
