Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Chief Product and Strategy Officer, the VP, Strategy & Partnerships will lead the development and pursuit of multiple strategic priorities related to the expansion and growth of PatientPoint. Leveraging an ability to create and manage meaningful relationships, this position will lead the systematic expansion of our business, identifying, evaluating, and developing successful organic and inorganic strategies for new products and partnerships. This role will also collaborate closely with our product team in the creation of horizonal expansion strategies, introducing new product lines through partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions that support the evolution of our product ecosystem. This role will have a broad influence, impacting product strategy, content strategy and Go-To-Market - a systems thinking mindset and approach will be required to craft appropriate growth strategies and integration plans. This role should balance a short-term bias toward action with the ability to support long range plan achievement, articulating the strategic options, choices and recommendations needed to achieve it.
The ideal candidate will have previous strategy, market development, and relationship management experience as well as experience working with several cross-functional teams seamlessly. They will have a high innovation and analytical bar as well as an ability to navigate ambiguity while investigating complex challenges across all company opportunities.
This role will routinely collaborate with leadership teams and investors within our organization and outside of it to optimize strategic execution against business objectives. A high level of executive presence, influence, and an ownership mindset are critical.
What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of new partnership relationships and nurture existing relationships for long term growth
  • Manage all aspects of inorganic strategy deployment for assigned business units, including market evaluation, target identification, screening, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, closing, and integration
  • Collaborate and consult with other senior leaders to guide how they frame decisions, design capabilities, and pull forward best practices that enable our strategy and model to come to life, including the evaluation and deployment of critical processes, technologies, tools, and vendors
  • Forge and nurture ongoing relationships with key executives in our strategic partners to reinforce our operating relationships and guide them in how best to collaborate with our model
  • Facilitate smooth transition of knowledge, integration responsibilities, and operating goals and objectives to business and functional leaders responsible for post-closing management
  • Promote utilization and continuous improvement of standardized business development practices, tools, and document retention policies

  • Clear thinking: Proven experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy despite ambiguity based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely
  • Customer Focus: Experience seeing the strategic landscape through the eyes of our customers and their challenges, adept at identifying the levers that create meaningful positive change for customers and finding "win-win" scenarios
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, finance, legal, supply chain, service, and HR in support of the evaluation and execution planning for M&A. Effectively manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders

Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience and with a minimum of 5 years of relevant business development experience in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment
