Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Sales is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and execution of effective sales strategies in the Food industry. This executive will lead and inspire three distinct, high-performing sales departments, build and nurture client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of Joy Baking Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy in alignment with Joy Baking Group’s goals and objectives
· Provide visionary leadership to Retail, Industrial, and Food Service all sales teams by setting clear objectives and expectations
· Collaborate with executive leadership to establish annual sales targets, budgets, and forecast
· Conduct market analysis and stay informed about industry trends to identify new opportunities and potential threats
· Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing sales personnel, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed for success
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction
· Work closely with the sales department heads to strategize and execute retention and expansion initiatives
· Continuously evaluate and enhance the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
· Implement and leverage sales technologies and tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
· Lead the teams in achieving and surpassing revenue targets, exploring and securing new business opportunities
· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to business growth
· Provide feedback and insights from the sales team to contribute to product and service development
· Develop and deliver regular reports on sales performance, including key metrics and analysis
· Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustment to all sales strategies
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Must have strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and developing successful sales teams and/or departments
· Must have experience in building and leading high-performing teams and/or departments
· Must have strong organizational skills and ability to analyze / interpret technical information, mathematical concepts, and form conclusions
· Must have deep understanding of the food industry, market trends, and competitive landscape
· Must understand pricing and promotional strategies for Retail, Food Industrial, and Food Service Sales
· Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities
· Must be able to travel frequently
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field – MBA a plus
· 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles in the food industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
· Must have excelled Computer skills including proficiency in MS office
· Marketing experience is a plus
