Job description

Job Title: Vice President of Finance and Administration

Location: In office and Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance and Administration to oversee all financial operations, accounting functions, human resources, office administration, and information technology within our organization. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure the effective and efficient management of these critical functions while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial performance.

Accounting Functions:

  • Direct the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Review financial statements and reports to provide accurate and timely analysis to senior management.
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Human Resources:

  • Oversight of the human resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and training.
  • Oversight of the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and maintain a positive work environment.

Office Administration:

  • Oversee office operations, facilities management, and administrative services to support the needs of the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Implement policies and procedures to promote efficiency, productivity, and safety in the workplace.

Information Technology:

  • Provide strategic direction for IT initiatives, including infrastructure, systems, and security.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of IT systems and data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage technology for business process improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience of 5-10 years in a senior financial leadership role, with demonstrated success in managing accounting, finance, HR, administration, and IT functions.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive change and innovation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to finance, HR, and IT.
  • Experience working in professional services preferred.
