Directs and oversees financial activities of The Cason Group. The position requires the handling of confidential information.
Job Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, and financial strategy
- Serves as financial business partner for CEO and other members of the senior leadership team
- Builds out the needed forecasting, analytics, and modeling in order to provide senior leadership the data they need to help determine direction for the future
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, audits and tax returns.
- Evaluates financial statements to determine progress and status in adhering to budget, and profit objectives and revises plans in accordance with current conditions when needed.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the finance and accounting teams of The Cason Group. Includes handling escalated issues, holding 1:1 meetings and conducting performance reviews.
- Provide insight and recommendations to short and long-term growth plan of organization.
- Advises on financial aspects of new contracts, initiatives, and partnerships.
- Prepares and present reports for CFC board meetings
- In addition to the specific functions of this job, expected to perform any other work-related task reasonably requested by leadership to further the purpose or mission of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Six years of experience in financial management required.
- Proven track record of building and using financial models for budgeting and forecasting

Working Conditions
- Work is primarily in an office and at property sites. May require weekend or evening hours.
- Position requires occasional travel to CFC subsidiary locations and to property sites and to attend meetings of professional and/or civic groups. Some overnight travel will be required.
