The Vice President of Enterprise Business Solutions at Thompson Creek is an integral part of the leadership team, responsible for directing the enterprise software applications function. This role involves providing dynamic guidance and setting strategic direction by deeply understanding business challenges and spearheading technology solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a history of aligning SAP initiatives with corporate goals, fostering innovation in an SAP environment, ensuring efficient use of SAP ERP and CRM solutions, and exhibiting expertise in implementing and managing SAP S/4HANA, along with proficiency in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions. This position entails directing the development and implementation of software applications that support Thompson Creek's operations, driving innovation for competitive edge, enhancing customer experience, improving service quality, aiding business growth, and enhancing operational cost efficiency.

• Digital Innovation and Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's SAP-centric technology strategy in alignment with overall business objectives, utilizing an SAP first approach.
• Identify and champion innovative solutions within the SAP ecosystem that drive efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction supporting company growth plan.
• Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Provide strategic guidance on SAP-related technology investments, partnerships, and collaborations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap that outlines key initiatives and milestones, ensure the roadmap supports business priorities and adapts to changes in the competitive landscape.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of SAP S/4HANA, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal utilization of the platform.
• Oversee upgrades, enhancements, and customization of SAP S/4HANA to meet evolving business needs.
• Utilize SAP BTP solutions to enhance and extend the functionality of SAP applications, fostering a scalable and integrated technology landscape while maintaining a clean core.
• Drive the adoption of SAP BTP capabilities to enable advanced analytics, application development, and data management.

• Budget and Project Management:
• Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
• Review and analyze financial reports and provide recommendations to the executive team.
• Develop and manage the project management strategy for technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Oversee project lifecycles, from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier SAP talent, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce, utilizing in house team, onshore and offshore consultants.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing technology team focused on SAP, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment focusing on company values.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science/business. Master’s degree preferred. 10-15 years of progressive experience managing and/or directing an IT operations including experience in strategic planning and execution. Previous experience as a CTO, CIO, or in a senior technology leadership role with a focus on SAP technologies preferred.
• Familiarity with key business processes (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Design & Construction) and their related systems. SAP ERP, CRM, S4HANA and SAP BTP experience required.
• Proven experience of presenting to and collaborating with senior business executives to build consensus on technology vision and strategy.
• Proficient in systems architecture and development, spanning from analyzing business requirements to daily oversight, coupled with a strong grasp of project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) fundamentals.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities, along with outstanding interpersonal skills; adept at conveying concepts in a manner that is both accessible to business professionals and end-users, underscored by a strong commitment to customer service.
• Highly self-driven and focused, with a notable ability to concentrate on fine details.
