Our purpose – Opening up a world of opportunity – explains why we exist. Here at HSBC we use our unique expertise, capabilities, breadth and perspectives to open up new kinds of opportunity for our more than 40 million customers. As part of HSBC’s Innovation Banking Division, the VP RM of Fund Banking will work with Senior Relationship Managers “RMs” to support prospecting and client management activities for Venture Capital “VC” firms. This individual will identify product and service opportunities appropriate for management companies, general partners / limited partners, and funds, conduct customer & prospect research, perform financial and credit analysis for capital call lines of credit, and help Senior RMs prepare for client / prospect meetings.
Here’s what you can expect:
As our VP RM, you will be an extension of the senior RM, serving as a primary point of contact for VC firms and their products and services, while enabling senior RMs to optimise the potential value of VC relationships, improve client engagement and deliver needs-based solutions for VC management companies and their underlying funds. This will likely involve attending client meetings with RMs as necessary, acting as the first point of contact for customers on daily credit-related enquiries, preparing appropriate analysis, proposals and presentations to prospective customers, and supporting the RM on day-to-day activities. In addition, you will work closely with Service Delivery and co-ordinate the end-to-end credit process, review their deliverables and resolve issues, while monitoring credit risk including concern lists and credit control reports, and analyzing management information.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $175,000 and $250,000.
