POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Asset Management and Project Management is involved in every aspect of our shopping center portfolio. Core responsibilities include completing projects related to acquisitions, dispositions, and Asset Management of shopping centers, as well as projects related to company improvement.
This candidate needs to be highly capable of problem-solving and managing many projects, with shifting priority levels and a high degree of ambiguity, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is thorough, accountable, coachable, organized, detail-oriented, assertive, and persistent. Also, a self-starter with excellent business communication skills, happy to work independently for days at a time, and willing to use new technologies in an effort to enhance position and company efficiencies.
The ideal candidate has a commercial real estate background and possesses a thorough understanding of how real estate project cycles flow from acquisition to disposition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently manages a pipeline of projects to hit established target cycle timelines within acquisition, disposition, and Asset Management.
- Leads various meetings and follows up with people internally and externally on trailing documents and status of task completion.
- Oversee implementation of new technology to enhance company efficiencies.
- Prepare the first draft of documents by filling in designated areas (leases and amendments, purchase contracts, etc.).
- Write quarterly update reports for each asset, to be distributed to the company’s investors.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality and services and participate in their implementation.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment connected with commercial real estate is preferred.
- Prior experience working for a commercial real estate lender, title company, broker, property manager, or landlord.
