Veterinary Receptionist

Duties:

- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
-Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls and communication with clients.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional manner.
-Utilize electronic scheduling system to register, check-in, and check-out animal patients.
-Maintain accurate client and patient information in electronic records.
-Ensure timely upload of patient records and information.
-Gather and confirm owner information for records and payments.
-Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Assist with billing and processing payments
-Promote retail sales and assist with prescription preparation and instructions.
-Perform various administrative tasks as required.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and waiting area.
-Monitor exam rooms and guest bathroom for cleanliness and readiness.
- Provide basic information about veterinary services and procedures
- Assist with animal handling and restraint when necessary

Requirements:

- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
-Exceptional customer service skills with a consistently positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for scheduling and record keeping
-Comfortable working with animals.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
