Reports to Department Manager. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, operates EKG machines to record routine tracings of the heart, applies and scans holter (D.C.G.) recordings to analyze abnormal rhythms, and operates treadmill monitoring equipment for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, in order to obtain pertinent patient data. All data is processed and labeled for review to be interpreted by dictating physicians.

Required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training - 6 months school for Cardiovascular technology (CVT) -OR- 1-year related experience.
- Upon hire: National Registered Vascular Technologist Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Vascular Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Or
- Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months Hospital experience which may include 1 year cardiology tech hospital internship time.
Preferred qualifications:
- Upon hire: Certificate in arrhythmia recognition and interpretation
- Upon hire: Active CVT certification
- 1 year Hospital experience.
