DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist performs and records all sonographic procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. Recognizes normal and pathological conditions. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Troubleshoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality. Participates in performance improvement projects within the ultrasound department. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with an emphasis in Vascular Technology?
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Recent experience in a similar role and setting.
Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year or more of vascular ultrasound experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, as needed.
- Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $114,944 - $142,945 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $55.05 - $68.46
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
