Utility/Dishwasher & Runner (OAK INT’L AIRPORT)

Starting at: $20.25 hr/plus tips

Open schedule availability is a must which includes nights, weekends and holidays.

There is a 120 - day probationary period for all positions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general and specific cleaning duties using standard cleaning products as assigned by Manager to ensure health standards are met, including, sweeping, mopping, proper care and cleaning of all floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, if any, worktables, countertops, meat blocks, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays/baskets, and storage areas.
• Communicate with the GM/BOH/FOH/Bar Manager regarding orders.
• Load and unload supply trucks transporting goods and supplies between the storage/stock room and work areas and according to the pull list.
• Removes all refuse and other debris to designated areas.
• Stock, date, rotate (FIFO) food items for freshness, including but not limited to, beer kegs, grab and go items, merchandise, etc, and check temperature of food items.
• Understands the use of proper chemicals on property (SDS) and uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations.
• Wash dishes, cutlery and other restaurant equipment ensuring they are ready for customer use.
• Clear tables in the dining area after passengers leave and transport service-ware (baskets/trays) to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Duties may include minor kitchen prep, rotation of grab-n-go products.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance cleaning.
• Adhere to procedures for proper disposal of oil.
• Organize offsite storage area including but not limited to food and/or restaurant equipment such as extra glassware and full or empty beer kegs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a stocking, delivery or dishwashing position.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• MUST be able to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to receive instructions and communicate to guests, vendors, and staff/team members.
• Ability to handle significant walking or other means of mobility (standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, and reaching for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds
• Must possess the ability to work safely and ensure all proper safety protocols are enforced.
• Work in extreme weather or refrigeration conditions.
• Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
• Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:This role is a physical one and the physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to:

• Stand, walk, sit for long periods of time (at least 8 -10 hours per day and 5 days per week)
• Use hands and fingers to handle food, industrial equipment, and otter machinery
• Must have the ability to reach with hands and arm; stoop, kneel, or crouch, climb, and balance.
• Must have the ability to squat, bend, twist and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
• Must have the ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds;
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, & the ability to focus.
